Why You Need a Book Publishing Coach

The age of the internet has made it easier for authors to publish their own books. All it takes is for you to go to a publishing platform like Amazon Kindle and submit your book for free. Then, you can let Amazon publish your book to the millions of visitors who go to their website every day. You can even charge money for people to purchase your book as well. The best part is that you can have your book get published to a digital platform as well as a print platform like Amazon’s Create Space.



While this all might sound great, self-publishing your book doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically get thousands of people purchasing and reading your book. If you don’t know how to publish your book properly, then you won’t get anybody to read what you wrote. And if you’re publishing it for the money, you sure won’t get any of that either. That is why every new author needs a book publishing coach to set them on the right path. A book publishing coach is basically someone who will walk you through the entire book publishing process and guide you on the dos and donts of it.



For example, a big part of book publishing is choosing the right keywords for your sales page’s metadata. Amazon lets you choose up to 5-6 search keywords which represent your book. If you don’t choose the right words, then people who search for books on Amazon related to your book’s topic are not going to discover your book. But, with the guidance of a coach, they’ll help you set the right keywords to increase your book’s ranking. Other things that coaches can help you with is paid advertising and how to take advantage of Amazon’s advertising tools, such as their Kindle Direct Publishing program which gives authors access to an array of promotional tools.



Although a book publishing coach may require a small investment, just think of their guidance as a learning experience. Once you learn everything there is to know about book publishing from them, you can go at it on your own in the future and be more successful.

WHAT'S STOPPING YOU FROM PUBLISHING? 


Today I did a Live video on Facebook & Periscope on this subject. I find too many of us have excuses of why we haven't yet published our books. So I have this list of five common excuses I've heard of those who say the want to publish but continue to run into these road blocks.

1. Finishing your book.

2. Budget.

3. Not knowing what to do to get published.

4.You don't think anyone will purchase your book.

 5.You don't think your story is interesting enough.

 Even with all these reasons, in my opinion it's no excuse. when you purpose yourself to accomplish a goal the ball is in your corner. Nothing can stop you unless you allow it.

I am my own favorite author. You must embrace what’s in you before admiring others. 
I can remember when I started writing my first book about my life story. It’s amazing when u write, write, write and you haven’t went back and read what you produced.
When I finally read my own story it blew my mind. All I could think was , “wow I wrote this”. It’s amazing how we have no idea what’s really on the inside of us until we make a step forward in accomplishing that goal. Your story will always bless you first before anyone else.
