I HATE UGLY BOOK COVERS

Anyone who has been following me for some time now knows how I feel about jacked up book covers. Yes, I’m pretty blunt with it because I get tired of authors not properly investing in there book projects.

When I say ugly I’m speaking of either your title not being relevant to the content of the book or the quality of the cover being cheaply designed.
Here are some signs you have a cover that needs redesigning...

1. your images in your cover are low resolution and pixelated.
.
.
2. your title is not relevant to your content. .
.
.
3. wrong fonts used, or no attraction at all.
.
.
4.your cover is does not attract your target audience. .

The biggest mistake we make as faith believers and Christians is that we think our faith, praying and speaking in tongues is enough to build our business and we will have overnight success because of the favor in our life. While all those things may be true, we still have to do our part. You will not see results without doing the work. Period. You may be anointed and dipped in all the holiness however you still must invest, present and build the appropriate platform for your target audience otherwise you are doing nothing more than launching just to launch, just to say you have a business......let’s get right people and do the work so we can celebrate our results. .

The age of the internet has made it easier for authors to publish their own books. All it takes is for you to go to a publishing platform like Amazon Kindle and submit your book for free. Then, you can let Amazon publish your book to the millions of visitors who go to their website every day. You can even charge money for people to purchase your book as well. The best part is that you can have your book get published to a digital platform as well as a print platform like Amazon’s Create Space.



While this all might sound great, self-publishing your book doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically get thousands of people purchasing and reading your book. If you don’t know how to publish your book properly, then you won’t get anybody to read what you wrote. And if you’re publishing it for the money, you sure won’t get any of that either. That is why every new author needs a book publishing coach to set them on the right path. A book publishing coach is basically someone who will walk you through the entire book publishing process and guide you on the dos and donts of it.



For example, a big part of book publishing is choosing the right keywords for your sales page’s metadata. Amazon lets you choose up to 5-6 search keywords which represent your book. If you don’t choose the right words, then people who search for books on Amazon related to your book’s topic are not going to discover your book. But, with the guidance of a coach, they’ll help you set the right keywords to increase your book’s ranking. Other things that coaches can help you with is paid advertising and how to take advantage of Amazon’s advertising tools, such as their Kindle Direct Publishing program which gives authors access to an array of promotional tools.



Although a book publishing coach may require a small investment, just think of their guidance as a learning experience. Once you learn everything there is to know about book publishing from them, you can go at it on your own in the future and be more successful.
