WHAT'S STOPPING YOU FROM PUBLISHING? 


Today I did a Live video on Facebook & Periscope on this subject. I find too many of us have excuses of why we haven't yet published our books. So I have this list of five common excuses I've heard of those who say the want to publish but continue to run into these road blocks.

1. Finishing your book.

2. Budget.

3. Not knowing what to do to get published.

4.You don't think anyone will purchase your book.

5.You don't think your story is interesting enough.

Even with all these reasons, in my opinion it's no excuse. when you purpose yourself to accomplish a goal the ball is in your corner. Nothing can stop you unless you allow it.

I always enjoyed reading throughout my entire life. Reading is great for the soul. In this season I am purposing myself to read more books that promote growth in the area of business. I truly believe books were written to push us into our next level of living.
If you are not reading much take the time to find a book of interest that can increase your level of thinking and choices you are making in life. I promise you it will change your life.

I am my own favorite author. You must embrace what’s in you before admiring others. 
I can remember when I started writing my first book about my life story. It’s amazing when u write, write, write and you haven’t went back and read what you produced.
When I finally read my own story it blew my mind. All I could think was , “wow I wrote this”. It’s amazing how we have no idea what’s really on the inside of us until we make a step forward in accomplishing that goal. Your story will always bless you first before anyone else.
Our stories were created to give us the push we need to make it through life’s greatest challenges. We want others to read our stories but it starts with you embracing your story first.

DONT JUST WRITE BOOKS

When you write your books there should definitely be a purpose in mind. 
What’s your why? What message are you releasing to the world? Who are you speaking to?
We must wasting time and be strategic in everything we do when we write. As an author you must look at publishing your book as introducing who you are to the world. Realize announcing your story and your message does take work. If your are not willing to do the work then don’t publish. Publishing requires and investment of not only your money but also your time. We should not be creating things that hold such heavy weight like books and allowing the results to just fall by the waists side. Your book is a brand or as Lisa Nichols once said “Your Book is an expensive business card.” This is a very strong statement but very true.
Ask yourself some important questions I listed above before you publish your book. Be clear on your purpose in writing and exposing to the world. The publishing game has changed tremendously over the years, we have too many resources to play games with our writings.
Take some time and figure out your why.
